The hotel is in South Ecuador, near Loja, capital of the same named province. You can reach Vilcabamba direct from the Loja bus terminal within 1 hour.
You can chose the Minibus "Vilcabambaturis": from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. every 30 minutes
Or the bus lines: Sur Oriente, Cariamanga or Nambija (the last one at midnight)
To reach the hotel "Izhcayluma" from Vilcabamba , your best option is a Pick-up taxi at the plaza beside the church. On foot, or with your own car, just continue on the main road, coming from Loja, for about 1,25 miles (2 km), `till you reach the hotel entrance lane, opposite a church on your right.

For air travel, Loja has a national airport with connections to Quito and Guayaquil. Ther are two air lines: TAME and ICARO

The bus terminal connects with all parts of the country, including the new international direct line to Piura in Peru via "Cooperativa Loja". This is the fastest way to cross the Ecuador-Peru border!
